The JVC HD-100 is the worlds Firts Native 30,000:1 contrast ratio D-ILA projector. "Native" indicates that the projector does not rely on an iris to maximize brightness depending on the average brightness on the screen. This is a trick that other manufactures use to increase the contrast ratio number of their projector. The problem with this is that it will wash out the black's on brighter sceenes and it will make the whites appear dingy on darker scenes. This will give the picture an overall unnatural look. Since JVC does not use an iris there is no compramise in picture quality and the blacks are true black and the whites are a true white. Colors appear more vivid and everything you watch is rich and full of detail.

As most of you know by now Circuit City will be closing there Fayetteville store by December 31st and with this closing they are claiming "Huge Sale" and "40% off" The problem here is that the discounts really are not there. Most merchendise has been marked up to MSRP to be marked back down.
